Fitch ratings.
Every year, SEB Asset Management AG engages the international independent ratings agency Fitch Ratings to issue a manager rating – the Manager Rating (M) assesses the investment company. The ratings scale consists of grades from M1 (the top grade) to M5. Plus and minus grades are given to provide a more exact rating within rating classes M2 to M4.
Manager-Rating (M).

The Fitch Manager Rating involves a thorough analysis of the qualitative performance of the investment management company. The overall rating entails assessment of five areas with different weightings: investment selection (25%), risk management and controls (20%), company and staffing (20%), portfolio management (20%), and investment administration (15%). 'M2' – Strong: Asset manager operations demonstrating low vulnerability to operational and investment management failure.
For 2011 the SEB Asset Management one again was rated "M2 / Strong" thus placing it above the industry standard for institutional investment management in the list of recognised asset managers.
